Pfeiffer shaves head for St. Baldrick’s
On March 26, Anna Pfeiffer (right) relinquished her bountiful head of hair in support of the St. Baldrick's Foundation and children battling cancer. In this annual event, participants raise not just money through personal sponsors, but also awareness for children afflicted with cancer. "I cannot take away cancer and the pain it brings" said Pfeiffer. "I cannot bring back the lives of loved ones lost to it. But I CAN show my solidarity with those fighting it. Hair gives women (and men!) a sense of security, and I want to know what it's like to lose this sense of security, to face the world without hair and to know how our youngest members of society do it with such a brave face."
